Editorial Director, Digital Content Editor: Do you have experience producing and editing digital content across multiple platforms? Would you like to have greater reach and impact in the world through your work? Outreach Media Group, a division of Outreach, Inc., located in Colorado Springs, named "The Number One Mountain City" by Money Magazine is seeking a savvy, Editorial Director to provide leadership and oversight on all content initiatives across Outreach's web properties. These properties include SermonCentral.com, ChurchLeader's.com, ChurchPlants.com and others which serve pastors and church leaders around the world, and FaithIt.com and ForEveryMom.com serving Christian consumers. This position requires a person who understands the pastor, church and Christian audience and will use that wisdom and experience to minister to those individuals, drive engagement, increase retention, enhance branding and revenue. The Editorial Director will collaborate with site leaders to optimize strategies for site and audience growth, innovation and new editorial projects and initiatives.
The Editorial Director will drive the following outcomes:
This position will be measured by successful web properties page views, audience and revenue growth, and the engagement of our audiences, which helps us measure ministry impact, across all sites.
This person oversees the publishing of high-quality stories on deadline every day on websites, social, and email as measured by posts with over 1,000,000 page views.
Hire "A-level" talent and manage teams consistent with a Better Christian Workplace.
Work cross-departmentally with development, marketing, and ad sales to capture opportunities for optimization, acquisition and business development.
Oversee analytics and key audience metrics to assure usability and growth across all digital platforms.
Keep the Editorial Department budget balanced every quarter.
Provide editorial direction and leadership for future sites, apps, and all content-based initiatives.
The Editor, Digital Content Editor must have a successful work history that demonstrates competencies in the following areas:

5+ years of team lead experience.
5+ years hands-on experience in web writing.
2+ years experience in online marketing.
Proficient in content strategies over multiple media platforms (including website, email and social media).
Competency with Google Analytics.
Experience with the church market a HUGE plus.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
