Outreach works with those churches to build bridges to reach their communities.  Those relationships allow Outreach to know what methods, messaging, and strategies are being used effectively in different contexts. 

The inside sales team provide sales and outreach consulting to churches, para-church organizations and/or schools, and strives to optimize deployment of Outreach tools to empower our customers to reach their communities for Christ. You will be responsible for developing relationships with churches, understanding and uncovering the needs of the church, and recommending and proposing the appropriate outreach tools to meet those needs; and then secure commitment to use those tools recommended.

Key responsibilities:

  • Qualify leads by determining event date; decision maker; and budget
  • Consult with customer - Uncover church needs and determine current church status
  • Provide solutions – Educate customers and provide product consultation
  • Prepare outreach proposals and marketing plans
  • Prepare On Target demographic reports
  • Obtain commitment: close sales, secure deposit payments, signed quotes, and mail lists
  • Post-sale customer follow up and relationship management after all outreach events
  • Receive incoming phone calls from the call queue during normal operating hours
  • Responsible to make outbound phone calls in keeping with daily goals set by the manager, prospecting and lead follow-up in response to inquiries from trade shows, church planting conferences, the Internet and other sources
  • Achieve sales goals and initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Church Communication Methods (websites, bulletins, direct mail, invite cards)
  • Skilled at Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Strong knowledge of the Evangelical Church market
  • Accurate data-entry skills (minimal errors with fast pace)
  • Proof Reader (you re-read emails and communications to eliminate typos and mistakes)
  • Strong Math Skills (converting percentages, subtraction, addition, etc.
  • Highly Organized (punctual, abide by calendar, segment work day)
  • H.S. Diploma

Required skills/experience:

  • Must have 2-5 years successful sales performance. 
  • Consultative sales experience is beneficial. 
  • BS or BA degree in business and ministry experience is preferred.
